Alternative meals
At Camp Tekakwitha, we believe that food safety is a shared responsibility. To accommodate most allergies and dietary restrictions, we offer alternative meals prepared by a dedicated cook. These measures involve additional costs, which are shared between families and the camp.
This applies to diets such as vegetarian, gluten-free, lactose-free, as well as severe food allergies (mustard, legumes, soy) or multiple allergies. Some unique food allergies do not require alternative meals (fruits, nuts, peanuts, intolerances). Each case will be reviewed individually. The “alternative meal” option must be selected during registration.
Although we take these measures seriously, our kitchen does contain allergens such as gluten, nuts, and peanuts, and we cannot guarantee the absence of cross-contamination.

During expeditions, campers with dietary restrictions must bring their own food, as well as an individual pot and suitable utensils. In remote settings, it is not possible for us to provide individual meals, as this would represent an overly complex burden for the counselors, whose priority is to ensure the safety and smooth running of the activity for the entire group. Please contact us for more information.

Currency
Please note that invoices are issued in your respective currencies to reflect local economies and actual costs. Our camp, although managed by a Quebec non-profit organization, operates primarily in the United States, where all operational costs are paid in US dollars.
Instalments
You can choose one of the following payment plans to cover the camp fees:
-
Full payment by January 15.
-
50% on January 15 and 50% on February 15.
-
33.3% on January 15, 33.3% on February 15, and 33.3% on March 15.

Note: If registration is completed after January 15, only plans 3–4 will be available, and so on.
Cancelation and refund
In case of cancellation, fees will be deducted from the amounts paid based on the notification date, to cover expenses already incurred in preparing the stay:
-
Before April 30: a fixed fee of $275 will be retained. The remaining amount paid will be refunded.
-
From May 1 onward: cancellation fees equal to 50% of the total amount will apply. The remaining amount paid will be refunded.
-
No refund will be granted in the event of withdrawal (whether due to injury or not) or dismissal during the stay.
RL-24
Camp Tekakwitha, although a registered non-profit organization in Quebec, cannot issue a Relevé 24 slip for childcare expenses. This is because the services are offered in the United States, making these expenses ineligible according to Revenu Québec's criteria.
Family discount
We offer a family discount for registering a second (5%), third child (10%) or fourth child (15%) from the same family living at the same address. You must complete their registration in one go on the platform so that the discount is applied automatically.
Registration priority
Whether it’s your child’s first summer at Tekakwitha or their sixth, don’t wait to register—spots in each group are limited. Registration opens for everyone on December 10.
Here is our process for confirming registration requests:
-
Campers returning to the same session in the same group.
-
Campers returning to a different session but in the same group, or to the same session but in a different group.
-
Campers returning after a summer away, or siblings of campers already registered.
-
New campers!
If the session you choose is full, your child will automatically be placed on the waiting list. As soon as a spot becomes available, we will call you, and you will have 48 hours to make a decision.
Please note: On January 15, we will begin offering available spots to priority groups 2, 3, and 4.

Financial Aid
Each year, the Camp Tekakwitha Foundation awards scholarships to campers in need, with assistance ranging from 15% to 85% of the normal cost of a stay.
To check your eligibility, ask yourself the following questions:
-
Does your child want to have an enriching experience at Camp Tekakwitha?
-
Are you a low-income family?
-
Can you contribute to part of the cost of the stay?
If you answered yes to all of these questions and would like to apply for a scholarship, please email us at direction@campdevacances.com .
