Tekakwitha: THE French-speaking summer camp located on the shores of Lake Androscoggin in Maine, United States, since 1938.

Dare to grow

At Camp Tekakwitha, campers are encouraged to push their limits to achieve greater self-understanding, whether it’s by confronting their fear of heights or traversing the Appalachian Trail. They learn perseverance, teamwork, communication, and conflict resolution through thoughtful group activities. Camp experiences create valuable memories and life lessons. “Dare to Grow” inspires them to explore their environment to discover and grow through new experiences.

Up to date traditions

Camp Tekakwitha, with over 85 years of tradition, offers an environment conducive to the personal, social and spiritual development of campers through constant contact with nature. With a limited capacity and carefully designed long stays, the camp maintains high standards of quality. Our dedicated team ensures the well-being of campers in an idyllic setting. In this way, we keep alive the pride and unity of the Tekakwithian family, seeking innovative solutions to guarantee the safety and sense of belonging of each camper.

Tekakwitha feels like home. I may pack up my bags at the end of the summer, but my memories stay at camp and will never leave. They remind me that I can always find refuge somewhere in the shallows of Maine.
